How does ActiveBase accomplish these results?
ActiveKnowledge automatically intercepts and optimizes application requests, long running reports and ad-hoc queries in real-time, on-their way to the databases, applying execution-plan hints and generic SQL rewrites. It enables application managers to manage and control user prioritization based on SQL (such as regular expression), Execution plan, ETL control points and timely database loads.

ActiveKnowledge software is installed transparently like a listener, inline on the network between Business Intelligence (e.g., Business Objects, Cognos) or packaged applications (e.g., Siebel, Chordiant or People Soft) and the databases.
It can be installed on the database server, application server or dedicated server, acting as a central hub for tens of different applications. It is built on multi-threaded high performance architecture with multiple fail-over and load-balance mechanisms.
                
ActiveKnowledge supports all Oracle based applications, proprietary or packaged application such as PeopleSoft, Siebel and Oracle Apps, or Business Intelligence implementations and reporting tools such as Business Objects, Cognos or Crystal Reports.

ActiveBase provides product and administrative training via Internet or telephone either at clients' facilities or our own.

Installation
Installing ActiveBase products is easy and usually completed in less than a day, because we act as another Oracle listener for all applications, with automatic failover to the real Oracle listener. No changes are required to either applications or databases. ActiveBase can be installed on the database servers or on servers nearby. We support Oracle versions 8.x, 9.x, 10.x and 11.x on all major platforms.
